If the installation fails, and the WMI repository is found to be consistent, you can perform a WBEMTEST query to see if any system processes are not performing correctly.

Procedure

From a Windows computer, go to Start and enter WBEMTEST into the search or run box.
The Windows Management Instrumentation Tester dialog box appears.

Ensure that the computer is connected to the root/cimvw namespace.

Click Query.
The Query dialog box appears.

Enter SELECT * from Win32_Process in the Enter Query field, and then click Apply.
The Query Result dialog box appears.

Review the query results to determine if any system processes are not performing correctly.

If all processes are performing correctly, contact Support.
