Adding the MySQL Database Agent to the Pseudoclient

Add the MySQL Agent to the Amazon RDS pseudoclient computer.

Before You Begin

Verify that the proxy client computer is in the running state.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, go to Client Computers.

2. Right-click the pseudoclient computer, and then go to All Tasks > Add Database Agent > MySQL.

   The MySQL Properties dialog box appears.

3. On the Cloud Configuration tab, add the proxy client computer:

   1. Click Add.

      The Select Clients / Client Groups dialog box appears.

   2. Select the proxy client computer, and then click Include.

   3. Click OK.

   The MySQL Properties dialog box appears.

4. Click the proxy client computer for which you want to configure the database version.

5. Verify that the MySQL database version and the path to the MySQL database are populated (for example, /usr/bin if the MySQL application installed on the proxy client computer and software_instalation_directory/CVCloudAddOns/MySQL/mysql_version/bin if the MySQL application is not installed on the proxy client computer).

   • If the properties are populated, click OK.

   • If the properties are not populated, then complete the following steps:

     1. Click Add.

     2. Add the properties.

     3. Click OK.

What to Do Next
