Time Information

Override

When selected, you can set the time zone of the client computer. Overriding the local client time zone is helpful if your client is a pseudo client. After the time zone is set, the backup schedules for the client honor the new time zone.

If the Override check box is cleared, the client services are automatically restarted and the local time zone of the client computer is displayed.

Note

The override option is not available if the client is also the CommServe.

Time Zone

Displays the local time zone of the client computer. If you selected the Override check box, the time zone you set is displayed.

Note

For NAS Agent clients, the time zone is the time zone of the Detect MediaAgent selected on the NAS client NDMP properties settings.

Clock skew with CommServe

Displays the approximate difference in time between the client and the CommServe computer. This calculation automatically adjusts for differences in time zones.

Description

Enter a description about the client in TEXT or HTML format.

TEXT

To enter notes about the client, click TEXT, and then type the note.

Text is the default description type. Using text, you can enter more information in the Description box, and it is easier to export client descriptions to other formats such as Microsoft Excel.
