What you can back up

Individual databases, table spaces, and logs, based on the subclients configured

Types of backups that you can perform

• Streaming:

  • Full backups

  • Incremental backups

  • Delta (differential) backups

• Snap:

  • Full backups

• Logs:

  • Full backups

When you can perform backups

• On a schedule. You can have multiple schedules for each database group.

• Immediately

Time periods from which you can restore data

• From the most recent backup

• From a specific date/time

Destinations that you can restore data to

• In-place: Restore data to the same client and the same location on the client from which it was backed up.

• Out-of-place: Restore data to the following different destinations:

  • A different client than that from which the database was backed up

  • A different path on the same client from which the database was backed up

  • A different database on the same client from which the database was backed up

  • A different instance on the same client from which the database was backed up

Redirect restore

• For a non-automatic storage database

• For an automatic storage database

• For a mixed storage database
