Installing Additional Software

If you have installed the CommServe server in the appliance, the installer installs additional packages. For more information, see Additional Packages Installed with the CommServe Server.

If you have installed the MediaAgent software in the appliance, and connected it to an existing CommServe Server, the installer installs the MediaAgent software, the Virtual Server agent and the File System agent.
If necessary, you can install additional software on the appliance. For more information, see Adding Commvault Software to a Server.
Activating the Virtual Server Agent
The virtual server agent is installed and available in the appliance. If necessary, configure the Virtual Server agent to back up the virtual machines in the VMware vSphere environment. For more information, see VMware.
