Admin Job History Filter
Use this dialog box to establish filtering options for the Admin Job History window. The available options are:
Job Type
Displays only those jobs that correspond to a specified job type. Select one of the following:

All job types listed below are available from the CommCell level. However, from the client level, only install related jobs are available for selection.

Displays a history of all administration jobs.

Auxiliary Copy
Displays a history of Auxiliary Copy jobs.

Catalog Media
Displays the history of the Catalog Media jobs.

Displays the history of Catalog Migration jobs.

CommCell Export
Displays the captured/exported metadata records associated with the clients that you wish to migrate to another CommCell.

Displays the merged/imported metadata records associated with the clients that you wish to migrate in the new CommCell.

Specify Time Range
If enabled, displays those jobs that occur within a specified time zone and time threshold. The following options are available:

Time Zone - Lists the time zones. To change the time zone, click one in the list.

Start Time, End Time - Lists the date and time. To specify the time threshold, select a start day and time and an end day and time.
Job ID

Job ID
The job id that you want to include in the history window.

Job ID Range
The start and end jobs that you want to include in the history window.
Job Status
Displays those jobs that correspond to a specified job status. The following options are available:

All
Specifies that all jobs should be included in the history window.

Completed
Specifies that jobs that were completed and completed with one or more errors should be included in the history window.

Failed
Specifies that system killed and system failed jobs (including backup jobs that failed to start) should be included in the history window.

Killed
Specifies that user killed jobs should be included in the history window.
Number of Jobs
Displays only a specified number of jobs. Select one of the following:

View All Jobs
Displays all the jobs.

Desired Number of Jobs
Displays only the number of jobs that you specify.
Include Aged Data
Includes data from jobs that have already been pruned.
Admin History Details (General)
Use this dialog box to view the operation details of an administration operation.
Job ID
A unique number allocated by the Job Manager for the administration operation.
Job Type
Displays the type of operation, either Data Aging, Export Media, Auxiliary Copy, Inventory, Disaster Recovery Backup, Data Verification, Erase Media, Delete Backup/Archive Data, Drive Validation, Drive Cleaning, Content Indexing, or Stamp Media.
Report Type
When the job type is a report, this displays the type of report that was generated.
Status
Displays the Job Status of the administration operation.
Job Started From
Indicates where this administration operation originated from, either from the CommCell Console, from a schedule, or a third party interface.
Job Started By/User Name
The name of the CommCell user who initiated this operation.
Start Time
The date and time on the CommServe when the administration operation started.
End Time
The date and time on the CommServe when the administration operation ended.
Description
Describes the details of the administrative operation.
Reason For Job Failure
Describes the reasons why the administration operation may have failed. Click on the Error Code to review troubleshooting articles available from the customer support website.

Total Files to Download
The total number of files that needed to be downloaded.
Files Downloaded
The number of files that were downloaded during the operation.
Size of Files Downloaded
The total size of files that were downloaded during the operation.

Storage Policy
The storage policy used to perform the disaster recovery backup job.
Database
The database containing the metadata that was backed up during the Disaster Recovery backup operation.
Backup Level
The type of Disaster Recovery backup operation that was conducted, either full or differential.
Destination
The location of the Disaster Recovery backup data.
Start Time
The date and time on the CommServe when the administration operation started.
End Time
The date and time on the CommServe when the administration operation ended.
Schedule Name
The name of the schedule that initiated the job.

Library
The library for which media was exported during an immediate export media operation.
Successfully Exported
The number of media that were successfully exported.
Failed to Export
The number of media that the export media operation failed to export.
Total Media Count
The total number of media that were successfully exported by the operation.

Library
The library of the inventory operation.
Inventory Type
The type of inventory operation, either Full, Quick, Search, Discover, Verify.

Storage Policy
The storage policy to which the administration operation was directed.
Copy Name
The storage policy copy used by the administration operation.
Total Data Size
The amount of data that was transferred.

Data Transferred on Network
The amount of data transferred on the network.
(The detail information below is displayed only for Content Indexing operations)
Total Items Processed
The number of items associated with the job to which a content indexing operation was performed.
No. of Failures
The total number of items associated with the job that failed.
No. of Skipped
The total number of items associated with the job that were skipped.
Embedded Objects
The total number of embedded objects associated with the job.
Admin History Details (Attempts)
Use this dialog box to view the phase attempts for this administration operation.
Phase
Identifies the phase of this operation.
Status
Displays the job status for this job phase.
Server Started
The date and time of the CommServe when that attempt of this operation started.
Server End
The date and time of the CommServe when that attempt of this operation completed.
Elapsed Time
The duration of time consumed by that phase of this operation (hh:mm:ss).
Transfer Time
The time taken for the data to be transferred.
Admin History Details (Data Transfer)
Use this dialog box to view the amount of data (in bytes) that was transferred for this administration operation (only applicable for auxiliary copy and offline content indexing operations).
Copy Name
The storage policy copy of this administration operation.
Data Size
The amount of data that has been transferred.
Admin Job History Details (Client Status)
Use this dialog box to view the update status of clients.

Client
Lists the clients that have been updated within the time range specified.

Status
Displays the current update status for the specific client.

Reason
Displays the reason for the current status for the specific client.
Total Clients
The total number of clients that have been updated.
Clients Already Up-To-Date
The total number of clients that have been up-to-date before the update operation.
Successful Clients
The total number of clients that have been successfully updated.
Pending Clients
The total number of clients that are waiting to be updated.
Failed Clients
The total number of clients that failed to be updated.
Clients Partially Successful
The total number of clients that have been partially updated.
Clients In Progress
The total number of clients that have not completed the update operation (still running).
Job History Filter
Use this dialog box to establish filtering options to view the job history associated with the following operations:

Data Management Operations which include backup, archive, recovery point creation or CDR data verification.

Data recovery operations, which include browse and restore, recovery, retrieve, and stub recalls.
Data Management
This option is available when the history is viewed for data management and resource management operations from the CommCell, Client or Client Computer Group level.
Specifies that the history window should display those jobs that correspond to the specified data management operations. The following options are available:

Backup
Specifies that backup operations should be included in the history window.

Archive/Compliance Archive
Specifies that archive/compliance archive operations should be included in the history window.

Recovery Point Creation/CDR Data Verification
Specifies that recovery point creation operations should be included in the history window.
Data Recovery Operations
This option is available when the history is viewed for data recovery operations from the CommCell, Client or Client Computer Group level.
Specifies that the history window should display only those jobs that correspond to the specified data recovery operations. The following options are available:

Browse and Restore
Specifies that only restore operations should be included in the history window.

Recovery/Retrieve
Specifies that only Recovery/Retrieve operations should be included in the history window.

Stub Recall
Specifies that stub recall operations should be included in the history window.

Synthetic full
Specifies that jobs associated with synthetic full backups only should be included in the history window.

Destination Client Computer
Specifies that only jobs that were restored/recovered/retrieved to the specified client computer should be included in the history window. To change the destination client computer, click one from the list.Specify Time Range
If enabled, displays those jobs that occur within a specified time zone and time threshold. The following options are available:

iDataAgent/Agent Type
The agent on the Client Computer that performed this operation.
Database/Backup Set
The database or backup set to which the Subclient belongs.
Instance/Partition
The application instance/partition on the client computer for which this operation took place.
Subclient
The subclient that was included in this operation.
Job Started From
Indicates where this operation originated from, either from the CommCell Console, from a schedule, or a third party interface.
Job Started By
The name of the CommCell user who initiated this operation.
Storage Policy
The storage policy to which this operation was directed.
Backup Type
The type of backup operation that was performed for this job.
QR Policy
The QR policy that is associated with this QR Volume creation operation.
Backup Type/Operation Type
The type of operation that was conducted.
Used VSS
Indicates whether the operation used Volume Shadow Services (available on the Windows Server 2003, SQL Server and Exchange iDataAgents) or by legacy data protection methods.
Backup Level
The backup level that was specified in the Subclient Properties dialog for database agents that support multi-level incremental backups.
Completion Time
Displays the date and time when the operation was completed.
Next SCN
Displays the next System Change Number (SCN) for the specific operation.
Software Compression
Indicates the level of software compression (e.g., client, MediaAgent) used during the operation.
Status
Displays the Job Status of a particular job. For the storage policy copy level, displays the Job Status of the data protection operation on the storage policy copy.
System State
Indicates if system state was backed up during the operation.
Scan Type
Displays the type of scan used for this operation.
Scan Change Reason
Displays the reason for a scan change, if during the operation a change of scan type occurred.
Reason for Job Failure
Describes the reason why a operation may have failed.
Error Code
A unique number linking to troubleshooting and knowledgebase articles from the customer support website. This is useful if you wish to obtain information about job failure reasons.
Note that this error code only appears if the job has not completed successfully.
Completion Time
The log creation time for the last log file of max chain. This time is the client time and not the CommServe time.
Range of Log Files
For DB2, the minimum and maximum log sequence backed up by the job.
Job Details (Details)
Use this dialog box to view the details of the history of this data protection operation. Not all fields are applicable to all agents.
No. of Streams
The number of data streams through which the data was transferred in the operation.
Start Time
The date and time on the CommServe when this operation started.
End Time
The date and time on the CommServe when this operation completed.
Size of Application
The amount of application data that has been protected during this job. The amount of compression possible on the data is also displayed.
Data Written (Media Size)
Size of the data stored on the media. This is the size of the data after deduplication and compression, if employed. This amount also includes metadata information, so in some cases, it could be larger than the actual size of the backed up data. (For information on data written size for HPE StoreOnce Catalyst Library , see HPE StoreOnce Catalyst Library - Frequently Asked Questions.)
When viewing the jobs from the client level, the amount displayed is an uncompressed size and includes valid and invalid attempts of the backup jobs. Because of this, the size might be larger than the size displayed when viewing the jobs from any other level.
Savings Percentage
Percentage of space saving due to deduplication and compression, if employed.
Data Transferred on Network
The amount of data transferred through the network calculated by adding all the data written attempts by this job. Enabling data deduplication or compression on the source reduces the amount of data transferred over the network.
If the job completed with multiple attempts or if the data included sparse files, metadata, etc, the data transferred may be larger than the application size.
Transfer Time
The time taken for the data transfer.
Throughput
The data transferred rate.
No. of Objects or No. of Files
The total number of items that were included in this operation.
Failures
Includes the number of files and folders that failed to be included in this operation.
Skipped Files
The number of files skipped during this operation.
Last Log Number
Displays the log number from which logs will be backed up during the next backup operation.

Use this dialog box to view the job retention details. Note that all the options described in this help may not be available and only the options displayed in the dialog box are applicable to the agent for which the information is being displayed
Storage Policy Name
Displays the name of the Storage Policy being backed up.
Copy Name
Displays the copy type of the Storage Policy.
Retain Until
Specifies the date till which the copy will be retained.
Retained By
Displays the retention type selected for the copy.
Manually Pinned
Indicates if the job was manually pinned.
View RMAN Log
Click to display the RMAN log for the selected Oracle backup or restore job.
View BR Tools Log
Click to display the BRTools log for the selected SAP for Oracle backup or restore job.
Job Details (Client Status)

Client Name
The client computer to which the Subclient belongs.
Status
Displays the Job Status of this operation

File
The File Archiver for Windows/Unix Agents display the name of the file for stub recoveries from disk media. The Exchange Mailbox/Public Folder Archiver Agents display a general statement that this is a message recovered from Outlook or OWA.
Description
