You can back up and restore the data that resides on a file server.
For CIFS paths, you can back up data using the Windows File System agent under network share clients.
Backup Types
The following backup types are available for CIFS share data:
Data Access Node Failure During Backup Operations
During backup jobs, if one of the data access nodes fails or is unreachable, the next backup job does not back up the failed files from that particular data access node. The failed files are backed up when a subsequent backup job with the Reconcile Backup option enabled is run.
