Post-Install Considerations for the SharePoint Server Agent

After installing the SharePoint agent, verify that you perform the following post-install tasks before running your first backup job.

  1. From the SharePoint Server Properties dialog box, type the SharePoint user account information. For more information, see SharePoint Server Properties (General), Change Account.

  2. Restart the Commvault services on the SharePoint client computer.

  3. From the SharePoint Server Properties dialog box, validate the new SharePoint user account that was changed in the above step. For more information, see SharePoint Server Properties (General), Validate Account.

Note: SharePoint Timer Service account must be a member of the local administrators group.
