Use the restore operation to restore your data.
Before You begin
By default, file system agents try to mount the snapshots on the target computer. If you want to select a Windows target computer for a NFS restore operation, select a target computer that is a Windows proxy computer with the Advanced Options below.
Procedure
-
From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > NAS client > file system agent > backup set.
-
Right-click subclient, point to All Tasks, and then click Browse and Restore.
The Browse and Restore dialog box appears.
-
In the Advanced Options tab, select the appropriate proxy client to mount the snapshot from the Use Proxy list.
Tip: Make sure that the proxy MediaAgent selected for browse and the proxy MediaAgent selected for restore are the same.
If the proxy MediaAgent selected for browse and the indexing MediaAgent are not the same, then the proxy MediaAgent that you selected for browse from the Use Proxy list is automatically selected in the Advanced Restore Options (Data Path) tab.
-
Click View Content.
-
Select the data that you want to restore, and click Recover All Selected.
The Restore Options for All Selected Items dialog box appears.
-
Clear the Overwrite Files and Restore to same folder options.
-
Clear the Restore to same folder check box, and then specify the destination path or click Browse to choose a destination path.
-
Click OK.
