You can use the Commvault software to protect the following Salesforce data.

• Standard objects

• Custom objects

• Documents

• Attachments

• Salesforce CRM content

• Salesforce files

• Salesforce metadata

  Note

  Default backups do not include the metadata. For information on how to back up metadata, see Configuring the Salesforce Default Subclient to Include the Metadata.

Salesforce administrators can perform record-level restores, or object-level restores to one of the following destinations:

• A file system

• A SQL server

• The Salesforce Cloud

A record-level restore restores the selected records of the selected object.

An object-level restore restores all records for the selected object.
