Upgrade Software Options (General)

Use this dialog box to select the client computers and client computer groups that you want to upgrade to the current version. The clients are upgraded to the same version that is installed on the CommServe computer, including feature release updates. For example, if the CommServe computer is on feature release 19 (FR19), then the upgrade will include FR19.

Client Computer Groups

Lists the client and MediaAgent computer groups that are available in your CommCell environment.

Client Computers

Lists the clients that are available in your CommCell environment.

Reboot Client

Select to automatically reboot the client or MediaAgent computer during the upgrade process. Commvault will determine if the reboot is required.

Restart Oracle/DB2 Services (if applicable)

This option applies to DB2, Documentum, Oracle, and SAP Oracle configurations on Windows computers.

Save As Script

Click to open the Save As Script dialog, which allows you to save this operation and the selected options as a script file (in XML format). The script can later be executed from the Command Line Interface using qoperation execute command.

When you save an operation as a script, each option in the dialog will have a corresponding XML parameter in the script file. When executing the script, you can modify the value for any of these XML parameters as needed.
