You can perform validation automatically as part of the schedule for the VM group, or by requesting validation for a recovery point, either for a VM group that has validation enabled or for a specific VM.
Procedure

From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Virtualization.
The Virtual machines page appears.
Validating a VM group

On the VM groups tab, click a VM group that is configured for backup validation.
The VM group properties page appears.

On the Overview tab, in the Recovery point section, click a highlighted date, and then select the time that represents a recovery point of the backup to validate.

Click Validate backup.
When you confirm the request, a Virtual Machine Management job runs to validate the backups for all of the VMs in the group.

The VM properties page appears.
