View Results of Disk Admin Job

Use this dialog box to view orphaned jobs and orphaned media space reported by the disk volume reconciliation job.

The following tabs are displayed:

Orphaned Jobs

Use this tab to identify the details of the orphaned jobs associated with the storage policy copy.

Job ID

Specifies the Job ID of the orphaned job identified in the CommServe database.

Client Name

Specifies the name of the client that is associated with the orphaned job.

AppType Name

Specifies the application type of the data contained in orphaned job.

Storage Policy Name

Specifies the storage policy associated with the orphaned job.

Storage Policy Copy

Specifies the storage policy copy associated with the orphaned job.

Library

Specifies the library associated with the orphaned job.

Admin JobID

Specifies the admin job ID that reported the orphaned job.

Recon Date

Specifies the date in which the volume reconciliation was performed.

  • Delete

    Right-click an orphaned job and select Delete to delete the job from the CommServe database.

Refresh

Click this button to refresh the data displayed in the dialog box.

Orphaned Media Space

Use this tab to identify details of the orphaned media space in disk volume associated with the storage policy copy.

Storage Policy Name

Specifies the storage policy associated with the orphaned data.

Storage Policy Copy

Specifies the storage policy copy associated with the orphaned data.

Library

Specifies the library in which the orphaned data is located.

Volume Path

Specifies the path to the volume in which the orphaned data is located.

No. of Chunks

Specifies the number chunks that are orphaned in this volume.

Size

Specifies the size of the orphaned data.

Admin JobID

Specifies the admin job ID that reported the orphaned data.

Start Time

Specifies the start time of the admin job that reported the volume reconciliation details.

End Time

Specifies the end time of the admin job that reported the volume reconciliation details.

Recon Date

Specifies the date in which the volume reconciliation job was performed.

Prune Status

Specifies whether or not the orphaned media was pruned based on the reconciliation report.

Prune Date

Specifies the date in which the orphaned media was pruned.

  • Delete Contents

    Right-click an orphaned media and select Delete Contents to delete the data from the disk volume.

Storage Policy List

Use this dialog box to re-associate all subclients from one storage policy to the storage policy you select from the drop-down menu.

  • Client

    The client computer on which the subclient resides.

  • Client Group

    The client associated with the subclient is a member of the listed client computer groups.

  • DataAgent

    The agent which defines the type of subclient (e.g., File System, Exchange Mailbox, etc.)

  • Instance

    The instance to which the subclient belongs. (This parameter does not apply to all agents)

  • Backup Set

    The backup set to which the subclient belongs. (This parameter does not apply to all agents)

  • Subclient

    The subclient that is associated to the selected storage policy.

  • Storage Policy

    Displays the storage policy that is associated with the subclient.

  • Policy Type

    Displays what data type (DATA or LOGS) is backed up by the subclient.

Select storage policy to which all the subclients will be associated

Select a new storage policy from the drop-down menu. You can also select Not Assigned, in which all subclients will not be associated with a storage policy.

Subclient Association with Storage Policy

Use this dialog box to associate all subclients from one storage policy to the storage policy you select from the drop-down menu.

Change all selected Storage Policies to

Select a new storage policy from the drop-down menu and click Apply.

Changing a Storage Policy

Use this dialog box to select the next backup operation for a subclient after changing its association to another storage policy.

Note

Specify the drive letter without a slash. For example, type F: to use drive F as the alternate cache location. Mount paths are not supported.

For Windows platforms, you can only specify an NTFS volume as a cache volume.

Convert Next Operation to Full

Select this option to convert the next backup operation to a full backup.

Do Not Convert to Full

Select this option so that the next backup operation will not be converted to a full backup.
