Virtual Operating Instances in the License Summary Report

The Virtual Operating Instances view of the License Summary Report lists each virtual machine (VM) that is covered by the Virtual Operating Instances license in the CommCell environment. VMs are included in the virtual operating instances calculation, regardless of the hypervisor type.

To view this report, in the License Summary Report, in the Commvault Complete VOI Licenses table under License, click Virtual Operating Instances.

All Commvault-supported hypervisors are included in the VOI calculation. To view a complete list of supported hypervisors, see Supported Hypervisors.

After an OI/VOI license is applied to the CommCell environment, all related jobs are removed from the capacity calculation. As a result, the License Summary report does not display any jobs for the client computers that consumed OI/VOI licenses. To view the jobs that were removed from the capacity calculation, see the Usages excluded from capacity because of OI license table or the Usages excluded from capacity because of VOI license table.

Only some of the columns appear by default. You can view any additional columns by using the Columns setting.
