For users in an environment with Commvault V1 indexing (VSA V1), the user needs to have view permission for the storage policy/plan in addition to the use plan permissions for the storage policy/plan described later in this topic to have permission to view copy precedence.
Copy Precedence
By default, the restore operation searches for the requested data in the primary copy and selects a different copy if the data is not found in the primary copy using the Automatic option. However, you can select a specific source copy instead of using the default option.
