When you use the Changelist feature for Dell EMC Isilon/PowerScale, a considerable reduction of more than 50 percent of the time taken for file scan operations is seen.
There is also a considerable reduction of CPU usage when you run Changelist backups compared to the CPU usage of a regular file system backup.
