Restoring Guest Files and Folders to a Different Amazon EC2 Instance

You can restore files and folders to a different Amazon EC2 instance.

For streaming and IntelliSnap backups of Amazon EC2 instances, Commvault indexes guest files and folders of Windows and Linux VMs.

If you restore Amazon EC2 guest files, Commvault automatically creates an Amazon S3 bucket for the destination. The bucket name is gx-restore-account_id, where the account_id is the Amazon Web Services account for the virtualization client. This bucket is created only once and is reused.
