Creating a Commvault HPE Catalyst Library

Catalyst Stores can be configured as a storage library from the command line.

Before You Begin

• Create a store using the StoreOnce Management Console as described in Creating a HPE Store.

• Enable HPE Catalyst Storage Library creation from the CommCell Console as described in Enabling HPE Catalyst Storage Library Creation.

Procedure

1. Download the Config-HPECatalystLib.xml file and save it on the computer where the command is run.

2. Open the XML file.

3. Change the XML parameters.

   Attribute	Description
   mediaAgentName	The name of the MediaAgent.
   libraryName	The name of the new HPE Catalyst library.
   baseFolder	This is an optional attribute. You can specify the name of the base folder or else standard naming convention will be used to name the base folder.
   loginName	The user name that must be used to access the StoreOnce device. The user name must be added in the following format. <IP_address or COFC_identifier>//<username> For example: 189.92.86.0//myusername
   password	The password associated with the user name.
   serverType	Must be set to 59.

4. Run the following command from the <software installation directory>\Base folder to execute the xml.

    
   qoperation execute -af downloaded location\Config-HPECatalystLib.xml
