The default table group protects all workspaces, catalogs, schemas, and Delta tables that the configured account can access within the metastore. Each table group also protects the configuration for all workspaces that the configured account can access within the metastore.
You can modify the protected catalogs, schemas, and Delta tables. You can also create additional table groups to protect specific Databricks data based on required schedules or frequencies.
To create a table group, follow these steps:

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > AI & Analytics.

Click the Databricks instance.

On the Metastores tab, click the metastore where you want to add the table group.

On the Table groups tab, click Add subclient.

Enter a name for the subclient, and then click Next.

Select an existing backup plan, or click the add button to create a new backup plan, and then click Next.

Under Backup content, click Add, and then Browse.

In the Add Content dialog box, select the content.

Click Save, and then Submit.
Modify the table group content
To modify the content of a table group, follow these steps:

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > AI & Analytics.

Click the Databricks instance.

On the Metastores tab, click the metastore.

On the Table groups tab, click the table group.

On the Configuration tab, in the Content section, click

Click Add > Browse.

In the Add Content dialog box, select the content, and then click Save.
