Getting Started with Amazon EFS Backups Through Automated Discovery

To get started with Amazon EFS backups through automated discovery, complete the MSP configurations steps, and then perform a backup and restore.

Procedure

Complete the scale manager configurations for scale manager for auto-scaling access nodes.

See MSP Configurations for Amazon Workloads.

For auto-scaling access nodes, subscribe to the Commvault Linux access-node AMI in AWS Marketplace for the target region.
Connect your AWS account and discover resources.
Create a protection group for the Amazon EFS file shares that you want to protect. See Protect AWS resources using protection groups.

After discovery completes, each AWS account is represented as a file server (client) and each EFS file system in that account is represented as a subclient.
Perform a backup.
Perform a restore.
