Reusing Alternate Index Server for Multiple Index Restores

You can reuse the alternate index server for multiple index restores.

Procedure

1. Log on to the client computer of the alternate index server machine.

2. Go to Start > All Programs > Commvault > Process Manager.

   The Process Manager dialog box appears.

3. On the Services tab, view all the running services.

4. On the alternate index server node, stop the Commvault Data Analytics service and clean up the index directory of the alternate index server.

5. On the alternate index server node, perform an out-of-place index server restore to the same index directory.

6. Start the Commvault Data Analytics service on the alternate index server.
