Guidelines for OneDrive for Business Access Nodes

Verify that the access nodes for OneDrive for Business meet the guidelines. Access nodes run backups and other operations.

Note

For high availability (which is recommended for the first full backup), use 2 or more access nodes and a maximum of 5 Azure apps.

Assumptions

The guidelines are based on the following assumption:

With an average user account size of 10 GB, and a backup job running in 10 streams, the job results folder can grow to a maximum of 500 GB.

With n number of parallel backup jobs running, the job results folder can grow to a size of n*500 GB.
