Providing the Keytab File Location of the Apache Hive User

In secure Hive environments, to provide the keytab file location of the Hive user in the configuration file on the Hive node, you must add an entity setting.

Procedure

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > Settings > Advanced.

2. Click the Additional settings tile.

   The Additional settings page appears.

3. Click Add, and then select entity settings.

   The Add entity settings dialog box appears.

4. In the Name box, enter sHiveKeytabFile.

5. From the Entity list, select the Hive node.

6. In the Category box, enter FileSystemAgent.

7. From the Type list, select String.

8. In the Value box, enter the path to the keytab file.

9. In the Comment box, enter an explanation for the change.

10. Click Save.
