Controlling On-Demand Backups with Web Console

Once an on-demand backup job is running, you can pause, resume, or kill the backup job.

Procedure

1. Log on to Web Console.

2. Perform an on-demand backup.

3. Once the backup job is running, from the Current Backup Status box, select the operation that you want to perform:

   • To pause a backup job for a set duration of time, do one of the following:

     • In the Current Backup Status box, click Pause and select the time interval from the list of preset time for the backup job to be paused.

     • To customize the time interval, in the Current Backup Status box, click Pause, select Custom, and manually enter the time.

     The backup operation enters a suspended state. and will either resume automatically after the specified time, or needs to be resumed manually if it was paused indefinitely.

   • To manually resume the backup job at any time, in the Current Backup Status box, click Resume.

   • To terminate the backup job, in the Current Backup Status box, click Kill.

     The backup job is terminated.
