CDS supports the scheduling of snapshots for block virtual disks.
The snapshots taken by the scheduler are crash-consistent snapshots.
If a virtual disk is scheduled for snapshots, manual create, revert, or delete snapshot operations are not supported.
To enable this feature, you must create an SLA (service level agreement) Domain and then associate a virtual disk with that SLA Domain. The SLA Domain defines the frequency at which snapshots will be taken for the virtual disk and specifies the period of time for which they will be retained in the CDS system.
