While attempts are made to retain operating system settings during the upgrade, some settings may not be captured or may not be directly compatible with the latest version. Consult the customization settings guide and review the guidance for any changes made to the HyperScale X operating system prior to performing the upgrade.
Note that all settings required for basic functions are automatically retained including:

Network interface configuration, including IP address, subnet mask, gateways

NTP Servers – NOTE: only defined NTP servers are retained. Any additional configuration in the NTP service configuration will not be retained.

System Settings Not Retained During Upgrade
The following table lists commonly used customizations that are not preserved during the upgrade. You must plan to capture these settings during the planning phase and restore them after the upgrade is complete.
