Index Server Disaster Recovery

Applies to: Index Servers used for Office 365 and Exchange

You can configure a disaster recovery (DR) Index Server, perform a point-in-time (PIT) restore of the Index Server, perform a hardware refresh of the Index Server, or reconstruct the index.

Before You Begin

• Create an Index Server to act as the target Index Server. The source Index Server and the target Index Server must have the same number of nodes.

• Back up the source Index Server.

• This workflow is available only on an Index Server that runs Windows.

Procedure

1. Download the Office 365 Index Server DR app from Commvault Store.

   The app includes a report and a workflow.

2. Log on to the Command Center, import the app, and then go to Reports.

3. Open the Office 365 Index Server DR Status report, and then click New Request.

4. Follow the instructions in the readme file for the operation that you want to perform.
