Getting Started with Azure SQL Managed Instance

To get started backing up Azure SQL Managed Instance, verify that your environment meets the system requirements, and then complete the necessary setup in Azure SQL and in Commvault.

Procedure

1. Verify that your environment meets the system requirements for Azure SQL Managed Instance.

2. Set up an application and tenant for Azure Resource Manager

3. Set up connectivity between on-premises proxies and the Azure SQL database managed instance.

4. Set up Azure blob storage.

5. Complete the databases guided setup for Azure SQL managed instance.

6. Perform a test backup and restore for Azure SQL Managed instance.
