You can restore data using a storage copy on a plan or storage policy that is geographically nearest to the destination client computer.
Procedure
To enable restore operations to automatically select copies based on the workload region, complete the following steps:

Verify that you have workload regions assigned on the disk libraries of the storage copies and on the destination client computer.

Add the Geo Location Based Restores setting on the CommServe server. For more information about adding settings, see Adding a Setting for Servers and Server Groups.

Use the default Automatic copy precedence selection for the restore operation. You must not manually select any specific copy precedence during the restore operation.
