Thin Image (TI) snapshots that were created without cascade mode cannot co-exist with snapshots in cascade mode. If you want to turn cascade mode on for the Instant Clone feature, then you need to age or delete existing snapshots, and then turn the cascade mode on.
Before aging or deleting any snapshot, run a backup copy operation.
If your configuration has spool copy, then the snapshot backup jobs age after the backup copy.
If your configuration does not have spool copy, then after you run the backup copy operation, you need to manually delete the snapshots.
