Configuring the Dell EqualLogic Storage Array

For IntelliSnap backups from Commvault software, add the Dell EqualLogic storage array and its configuration information to the CommServe database.

Start the Configuration Wizard

From the navigation pane, click Manage > Infrastructure.

The Infrastructure page appears.
Click Arrays.
On the Arrays page, click Add.

The General page of the Add Snap Array configuration wizard appears.

From the Snap vendor list, select Dell EqualLogic.
In the Array name box, enter the management IP address or the group IP address.
In the Control host box, enter the group IP address.
In the Description box, enter the description for the array.
For credentials, do one of the following:

Type the credentials of a user who has the following privileges:
- Create or delete snapshots
- Add or remove access control lists (ACLs) on the volume
- Create or delete volume clones
- To use the saved credentials, move the Use saved credentials toggle key to the right, and then select credentials from the Saved credentials list.
- To add new credentials, enter the credentials in User name and Password boxes.
Click Next.

The Array Access Nodes page of the configuration wizard appears.

Add an array access node to perform additional operations on the storage array.

From the Available MediaAgents list, select one or more access nodes and then click OK.
- To select all the available MediaAgents as access nodes, click SELECT ALL.
To disable pruning, move the Pruning toggle button of the respective access node to the left.
To rearrange the selected access nodes, drag them upwards or downwards as required.
Click NEXT.

The Snap Configurations page of the configuration wizard appears.
