Configuring the INFINIDAT Storage Array Using Array Management

For IntelliSnap backups from Commvault software, add the INFINIDAT storage array and its configuration information to the CommServe database.

Start the Configuration Wizard

  1. From the navigation pane, click Manage > Infrastructure.

    The Infrastructure page appears.

  2. Click Arrays.

  3. On the Arrays page, click Add.

    The General page of the Add Snap Array configuration wizard appears.

General

  1. From the Snap vendor list, select INFINIDAT.

  2. In the System Name box, enter the system name from the INFINIBOX.

  3. In the Management Interface box, enter a fully qualified domain name or the Management IP address of the array.

  4. In the Description box, enter the description for the array.

  5. For credentials, do one of the following:

    • Enter the credentials of a user who has admin privileges or pool admin privileges, and the pool admin must have privileges to manage the pool of the source volume.

    • For Active Directory (AD) users, enter the username and password of a user that belongs to the AD group added on the storage array, with admin or pool admin privileges.

    • To use the saved credentials, move the Use saved credentials toggle key to the right, and then select credentials from the Saved credentials list.

    • To add new credentials, enter the credentials in User name and Password boxes.

  6. Click Next.

    The Array Access Nodes page of the configuration wizard appears.

  1. From the Available MediaAgents list, select one or more access nodes and then click OK.

    • To select all the available MediaAgents as access nodes, click SELECT ALL.
  2. To disable pruning, move the Pruning toggle button of the respective access node to the left.

  3. To rearrange the selected access nodes, drag them upwards or downwards as required.

  4. Click NEXT.

    The Snap Configurations page of the configuration wizard appears.

Snap Configurations

  1. Configure Snapshot Configuration Properties according to your needs.

  2. If you are going to use the NFS protocol, complete the following steps:

    1. On the Configuration tab, add all NAS service IPs in the Array Host Alias snapshot configuration property.
  3. Click SUBMIT.
