Getting Started with the Amazon Storage Array

To set up Amazon with snapshot capabilities, review system requirements, and then create an Amazon client in the Commvault software.

Procedure

1. Verify that your environment meets the System Requirements.

2. Verify that you have all the user permissions for backups and restores using the Amazon array. For more information, see Requirements and Usage for AWS IAM Policies and Permissions.

3. For SP18 or earlier versions, you must configure the additional setting sAmazonArray before any snapshot operation.

4. Add Amazon Web Services Array.

5. Choose a Supported Agent to work in conjunction with the Amazon snapshots.
