Getting started with protecting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure File Storage NFS exports includes creating an access node, completing the File servers guided setup, and then performing a test backup and restore.

Procedure

  1. Verify that your environment meets the system requirements for the Linux File System Agent.

  2. Complete the File servers guided setup.

  3. Install the Linux File System Agent on File Server.

  4. (Optional) Mount the OCI File Storage NFS export to back it up.

    • To mount the NFS export on the Linux computer, you can use the mount path.

    • To skip mounting the OCI File Storage export manually, use the automount feature.

  5. Add a NAS File Server for OCI File Storage.

  6. Create a NFS subclient.

  7. Perform a test backup and restore.
