You can recover a control plane into a Cleanroom site using the CommServe Recovery Validation Service from the Commvault Cloud Portal. When you recover the CommServe (Control Plane) using the CommServe Recovery Service, Commvault recovers the Control Plane in a least-privileged mode that only allows restore operations with no physical access.
Before You Begin
-
Before starting a Control Plane recovery on cloud.commvault.com, verify that your user has the CS Recovery Manager role. You can view all assigned roles on cloud.commvault.com by going to Service Catalog > User Management. If you do not have this role, contact your Cloud CommCell administrator. If there is no Cloud CommCell administrator for your company, you must request administrator privileges. For instructions, see Changing the Cloud CommCell Role Manager for your Commvault ID.
-
Before performing any Cleanroom operations, run the Cleanroom Recovery Readiness report on the production CommServe server by downloading it from the Commvault Store.
