REST API - POST Modify Client Log File Properties

Updated

This operation modifies the log file level, version, and size.

Request

Syntax

POST <webservice>/Client/{clientId>/Log/{LogFileName} Host: <host name> Content-Type: application/json Accept: application/json Authtoken: <authentication token> <modify_log_file_properties.json>

where <webservice> is the root path used to route the API requests to the Web Server.

clientId

The client ID for the client. If the client ID is not known, use the GET Client API to retrieve it.

LogFileName

The name of the log file. For example, enter WebConsole, for the WebConsole.log file in the Commserver/WebConsole location.

The host name of the Web Server or Web Console used in the API request.

Accept

The format of the response. Valid values are: application/xml or application/json.

Authtoken

The authentication token received after successfully logging on. For details on receiving an authentication token, see Authentication.

The format of the body of the request. Valid values are: application/xml or application/json.

The size in MB for the log file.

The software automatically creates a new log file when the file reaches the size specified.

The number of versions that the software can maintain for the log file.

The software automatically prunes old log files when the file versions that the software creates reaches the number specified.

The debug level for the logs.
