The policy templates menu provides a list of default templates to create a cloud assembly.
The policy template list contains both the predefined and user-defined templates. The policy templates have the following details.
Label | Description |
---|---|
Name | Pre-defined / User-defined name of the policy template |
Protection frequency type | The backup frequency type defined for the policy, like 15 minutes, hourly, or daily. You can also select a custom frequency between 16 and 59 minutes for more frequent backups. A template with a custom frequency can be reused across different assemblies. |
Protection Scheduled | The frequency interval of the policy along with the selected time zone |
Applied Assemblies | List of all the cloud assemblies which have applied this particular policy template. The policy template has a “Delete” option in the “Settings” if there are no applied assemblies for that policy. |
Primary count | The number of snapshots retained per storage volume in the primary region. Cloud Rewind retains the given number of latest snapshots in the primary region. A count of minimum 3 is mandatory. |
Replication retention count | The number of snapshots retained per storage volume in the recovery region. Cloud Rewind retains the given number of latest snapshots in the recovery region. A count of minimum 3 is mandatory. |
Note
The recovery region replication and retention are limited based on the cloud provider. Cloud providers with global snapshots access will ignore this setting.
