Verify that your environment meets the system requirements for Windows file servers.

Create an SMB file share for Amazon FSx for Windows File Server.

Create a NAS file server and configure the backup contents to protect the SMB share.
You can also create a CIFS subclient for the NAS file server and configure the SMB share as a UNC path to the subclient content.
