Change the MediaAgent (Host) Associated with a Library
To ensure that library properties, data paths, and policies are in sync, when you attach the library to a different MediaAgent, perform the following steps .

Detach the library from the old MediaAgent computer, and then attach it to the new MediaAgent computer.

Verify that the library and drives are visible to the operating system in the new MediaAgent computer.

In the Select MediaAgents dialog box, add the old and new MediaAgents. For more information about the <Library and Drive Config> window, see Display the Expert Storage Configuration window.

Click on the Data Paths tab.

Expand the library that you want to change host, expand the library controller, right-click the library controller, and then click Change Host.
The Change Host dialog box appears.

Select the new MediaAgent to which the library is currently attached, and then click OK.
The Confirm Update Host dialog box appears.

Click Yes.
The Information dialog box appears.

Click OK.

Under the same library, expand the master drive pool, right-click the drive pool, and then click Change Host.
The Change Host dialog box appears.

Select the new MediaAgent to which the drive is currently attached, and then click OK.
The Confirm Update Host dialog box appears.

Click Yes.
The Information dialog box appears.

Click OK.

In the Expert Storage Configuration window, click Start, and then click Detect/Configure Devices...
The Detect Library dialog box appears.

Click OK.
Results
Once the detection process is complete, the devices are displayed with configured, detected status on the new MediaAgent.
The Library tab provides the physical view of the devices (library and drives).
The Data Paths tab provides a logical view of the data path used to access the devices - library, master drive pool, drive pool, drive.
Reuse Media with Failed Content Verification
You can overwrite media in situations where the MediaAgent fails to read a media. For example, incompatible data formats, and so on.

From the CommCell Browser, right-click the appropriate library, and then click Properties.

Click the Media Usage tab.

In the Overwrite Media area, select When Content Verification Failed.

Click OK.
Enabling Popup For Exported Media
When you run a restore job on media that is not in the library no message is generated to display that the media is missing. However, you can configure to generate a popup message by setting up the nShowMediaImportPopups additional settings.

From the CommCell Browser, expand Storage Resources > MediaAgents.

Right-click the appropriate MediaAgent, and then click Properties.

In the MediaAgent Properties dialog box, click the Additional Settings tab, and then click the Add button.

In the Add Additional Settings on Windows Client dialog box, in the Name box, type nShowMediaImportPopups.

The Category and Type details are automatically populated.

In the Value box, specify 1 to enable the popup.

Click OK and click OK to close the MediaAgent Properties dialog box.
