Configuring the Quota Check for the Archive Index Phase

By default, quota checks are performed at the start of a backup job. You can create an additional setting to change when the quota check occurs during backup jobs.

Delay when the quota check is performed during backup jobs, add the ENABLE_ARCHIVE_INDEX_QUOTA_CHECK additional setting on the MediaAgent that performs the archive index phase for the backup job.

Procedure

1. In the CommCell Browser, create an additional setting on the MediaAgent that performs the archive index phase for the backup job.

   For more information, see Adding or Modifying Additional Settings from the CommCell Console.

2. Add an additional setting with the following details:

   • Name: ENABLE_ARCHIVE_INDEX_QUOTA_CHECK

   • Category: Indexing

   • Type: INTEGER

   • Value: 1

   The next backup job will perform the quota check during the archive index phase.
