After installing the SharePoint Server Agent, a document backup set is added by default to the SharePoint client. You can use the default document backup set to back up and restore subsites, lists, document libraries, list items, and library items.
Best Practice
Unless you need content indexing or a longer retention, we recommend you to use SharePoint Farm (database) backup with SQL agent content database backup using either the block level option or the IntelliSnap option. You can use the Farm backups to create recovery points. These recovery points can be used with the offline mining to restore the specific documents that you want.
