Mark the Active Media Full For a Storage Policy Copy

You can mark the active media for the storage policy copy as full, if you do not want the media for further backups. When the media is marked as full, subsequent backup jobs or Auxiliary Copy jobs that are associated to the storage policy copy will use a new media.

Applies To

  • Primary Copy, Synchronous Copy, Selective Copy, Snapshot Copy, Spool Copy, Parallel Copy, Inline Copy, Deferred Copy, and WORM Copy

Procedure

  1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Policies | Storage Policies | <Storage_Policy>.

  2. Right-click the appropriate storage policy copy, point to All Tasks, and then click Mark Active Media Full.

  3. In the Confirm Mark Active Volumes Full dialog box, click Yes.
