Schedule Pattern or Schedule Details
Use these dialog boxes to schedule jobs.
Schedule Name
Displays the name of the schedule. If creating a new schedule, use this space to enter the name of the schedule.
One Time
Runs a job a single time. Select the date and time you want the job to begin.

Click to display the Advanced Schedule Options dialog box. For information, see Advanced Schedule Options.
After Backup Job Completes
This option applies to Live Sync. Select this option to have the Commvault software automatically copy the changed data to the destination after the backup job completes. If you configure Live Sync to use a secondary copy, the software copies the data to the destination after the data is available on the secondary copy.
Daily
Runs a job on a daily basis. Choose the start time and the interval, in days, at which you want the job to repeat. You can also select the standard calendar or a custom calendar (if available).

Repeats the job based on the options you select.

Every n Days
Select how often to repeat the job. For example, you can repeat the job every four days.

On an hourly basis, select how often to repeat the job, and when to stop repeating the job.

Exceptions
Defines days of the month to exclude from the schedule. If a custom calendar is associated with the schedule, then the days that appear for selection while creating an exception, match the days of the month selected in the custom calendar.

Weekly
Runs a job on a weekly basis. You can run the job every n number of weeks on the selected days of the week. You can also select the standard calendar or a custom calendar (if available).

Select how often to repeat the job. For example, you can repeat the job every four weeks.

Monthly
Runs a job on a monthly basis. You can run the job every n number of months on the selected date or day. You can also select the standard calendar or a custom calendar (if available). Monthly schedules using custom calendars will run according to the definitions of a month as defined in the calendar.

Note: The Monthly and Yearly selections allow you to schedule other calendar events that are commonly of interest. For example, you can schedule backups on the last weekday every three months for quarterly backups. Optionally, you can select the Every n Month(s) option, which allows you to customize intervals at which the job will run. You can also select the standard calendar or a custom calendar (if available). Yearly schedules using custom calendars will run according to the definitions of a year as defined in the calendar.

Emergency Backup Management
Allows you to define an emergency script which will run when no backups are performed for period of time.

Run the following script if there was no backup for n Hours
Select this option specify the maximum amount of hours allowed without backup operations.

Base/ <script location> .bat or .sh
Specify the script that must be executed when no backups are performed for the specified time interval.
Continuous
Runs an administration or backup job continuously. The next job session of a continuous schedule starts automatically after the previous job completes. You can define the time interval between two backup job sessions. By default, the next job session starts 30 minutes after the previous job session completes.

Job Interval
Defines the job interval for continuous jobs.

Interval Between Two Jobs
Specify the time interval (in minutes) to start the next job session after the previous job session completes.

Advanced Schedule Options
Use this tab to select advanced schedule options for the operation.
Range of recurrence

Start Date
Enter the date on which you want this schedule to take effect. Choose one of the following options to set an end boundary for the schedule:
Never End
To keep this schedule valid indefinitely (default).
End by
To set the last date on which this schedule will be effective. After this date, the schedule is deleted within 24 hours. If all of the schedules on a schedule policy are automatically deleted, the schedule policy is also deleted.
End After
To maintain the schedule until a specified number of jobs run. After the specified number of jobs run, the schedule is deleted within 24 hours. If all of the schedules on a schedule policy are automatically deleted, the schedule policy is also deleted.
Time Zone
Allows you to schedule a job by selecting a time zone. Select a time zone from the drop-down list.
Holidays
Use this dialog box to view the defined holidays on which scheduled jobs will not run. Note: If you set a holiday at the client or client group level, restore jobs scheduled to run during that holiday will run. To prevent restore jobs from running during a holiday, set the holiday at the CommCell level.
Start Date
The start date from which no scheduled tasks will be run.
End Date
The end date for the holiday. After this date, the schedule can run. If Annually is displayed next to the dates in the Start Date and End Date fields, no scheduled tasks will be run each year between these dates and times.
Description
The name assigned to the holiday by the user.
Add
Click this button to access the Add Holiday dialog box, which allows you to add a holiday on which scheduled jobs will not run.
Edit
Click this button to edit the holiday from the Add Holiday dialog box.
Delete
Click this button to delete a holiday.
Add Holiday
Use this dialog box to define the date and time on which scheduled jobs will not run. Note: If you set a holiday at the client or client group level, restore jobs scheduled to run during that holiday will run. To prevent restore jobs from running during a holiday, set the holiday at the CommCell level.
Annually
When selected, the schedules will run each year on the date and times you select from the Start Date and End Date fields. Annual holidays never expire and supersedes any holiday that is already set for the same day.
Start Date
From the scroll list, select the start date and time for the holiday.
End Date
From the scroll list, select the end date and time for the holiday.
Description
Use this field to describe the holiday.
Exceptions
Use this dialog box to create an exception to a weekly schedule.
Add
Allows you to choose a particular weekday or day of the month for which to exclude the schedule.
Edit
Allows you modify the existing exceptions to the schedules.
Delete
Allows you delete existing exceptions to the schedules.
New Exception
Use this dialog box to add exceptions based on weekday occurrences or days of the month.
Days
Allows you to choose a particular day of the week for which to exclude the schedule.
On
Select the first, second, third, fourth, or last weekday of the month to exclude this schedule. The operation will not run on the day selected.
Backup Schedule
Use this dialog box to create a backup schedule or to associate a schedule policy to a subclient or backup set.
Associate to schedule policy
If selected, allows you to select a specific schedule policy for this backup set or subclient.
Schedule
If selected, allows you to create a schedule for this backup set or subclient.
Do Not Schedule
If selected, a schedule will not be created for this backup set or subclient, unless a schedule policy is already associated.
