Setting Up End-User Recovery

End users can access and manage their documents or files from any remote computer that runs a Java-enabled web browser by using a web-based application called the Web Console. The console is a self service application that enables end users to perform browse, restore, and download operations.

For instructions about configuring end-user access on a Web Console, see Configuring Web Console.

When you have enabled access control on client data, the access control lists (ACLs) for the data are also included in the backup. When ACLs are included in backups, users can access only the files and folders for which they have access permissions. Other files and folders for which the users do not have permissions are filtered and hidden during find, browse, restore, and delete data operations.

For instructions about enabling access control, see Enabling ACLs during Backups.
