Windows File System Properties (General)

Use this dialog box to manage the File System Agent properties.

Client Name

Displays the name of the client computer or application server.

iDataAgent

Displays the identity of the agent that is installed on the client computer.

Version

Use this dialog box to view the iDataAgent version.

Installed Date

Displays the date on which the agent was installed or upgraded on the client computer or application server.

NAS Restore Enabled

Specifies whether the NAS Restore Enabler was installed with the iDataAgent.

  • YES indicates that the enabler is installed and the client is an available destination for the restore of data from a Network Attached Storage (NAS) client.

  • NO indicates that the enabler is not installed and the client is not an available destination for the restore of data from a NAS client.

Enable Office Communication Server Backup

Select this option to enable OCS backup feature for a client with Windows File System DataAgent. This feature provides the ability to perform data protection operations for data associated with the Office Communications Server.

Track access time

On computers operating on Windows Vista 2007 and later, the access time of files are not updated by default. Select the Track access time check box to accurately update the access time of files when they are selected or accessed.

Stub Recovery Parameters

Select this option to enable the following parameters while recovering stubs.

  • Maximum Stub Recovery

    Enter the maximum number of stubs that you want to recover in the time window that is specified in the Time between recall to count as successive in seconds box. You can enter any value greater than 0.

  • Time between recall to count as successive in seconds

    Enter the time in seconds to perform the maximum number of recalls that is specified in the Maximum Stub Recovery box. When this time window is reached, the stub recalls that can occur before the next time window starts will fail.

    Note

    The Time between recall to count as successive in seconds is a rolling time period.

  • Time to wait after maximum successive recalls limit is reached in seconds

    Enter the number of seconds that the software must wait before a new stub recovery operation can begin after the maximum number of files have been recalled in the time window that you specified in the Time between recall to count as successive in seconds box.

Description

Use this field to enter a description about the entity. This description can include information about the entity's content, cautionary notes, etc.

Save As Script

Click to open the Save As Script dialog, which allows you to save this operation and the selected options as a script file (in XML format). The script can later be executed from the Command Line Interface using qoperation execute command.

When you save an operation as a script, each option in the dialog will have a corresponding XML parameter in the script file. When executing the script, you can modify the value for any of these XML parameters as per need.
