An access node is required to back up instances without egress charges.

Click the add button

The Add a new backup gateway dialog box appears.

From the Platform list, select the OS for the backup gateway.

From the Storage region list, select the region that the object storage resides in.

Click Oracle Cloud Resource Stack link.
The Stacks page of the OCI website opens.

Select I have reviewed and accept the Oracle terms of use.

Verify that the Use custom Terraform providers check box is not selected.

In the Name box, enter a descriptive name for the stack.

From the Create in compartment list, select a compartment.

In the Tags section, add a tag to identify the backup gateway stack.
For example, for Tag namespace, select None (add a free-form tag), for Tag key, enter Reference, and for Tag value, enter Metallic Backup Gateway.

Click Next.
The Configure Variables page appears.

From the Backup Data Size list, select the backup data size.

From the Compartment for Instance/Volumes list, select the compartment for instances and volumes.

From the Availability Domain list, select a domain.

If your platform is Linux, paste the SSH public key in the SSH public key box.

From the Compartment for VCN/Subnet list, select a compartment for VCN/subnet.

From the Virtual Cloud Network (VCN) list, select a virtual cloud network.

From the Subnet list, select a subnet.

In the Network Security Group section, select a compartment from the Compartment for NSG list.

Click Next.
The Review page appears.

Click Create.

Return to the Commvault configuration wizard.

Refresh the list of backup gateways.

Select the backup gateway that you created.

The gateways must be of similar operating system type.

To use a gateway group, the region must already be configured on the gateway group.

All gateways in the gateway group must be reachable through network routes.

Click Next.
