Create an OCI Object Storage group that will contain the data you want to manage and back up.
Before You Begin
- If you are an MSP and you want your tenant administrators to configure Azure Blob Storage, see Managed Service Provider Configuration.
Navigate to Service Catalog
- From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Service catalog.
Choose OCI Object Storage

On the Object Storage tile, click Configure.

Select OCI Object Storage.
The File & Object Trial message appears.

Click Continue.
The Configure the IAM Policy page of the wizard appears.
Configure Permissions
- Configure Oracle IAM permissions for API key-based authentication using Resource Manager template that is provided by Commvault Cloud.
Configure Credential

For Credentials, select existing credentials or create a new credential, and then click Next.
The Select Access node page of the configuration wizard appears.
Access Node
An access node is required to back up object storage without egress charges.

Select one or more existing access nodes or an existing access node group, or create a new access node, and then click Next.
If you create a new access node for OCI, verify that it meets the system requirements for OCI backup gateways.
The Select A Plan page of the configuration wizard appears.

Select an existing backup plan or create a new backup plan, and then click Next.
The Add Object Storage page of the configuration wizard appears.
Add Object Storage

In Name, enter a descriptive name for the object storage client.

In Host URL, enter the service account URL.

Click Next.
The Select Compartment page of the configuration wizard appears.

Select the compartment.

To automatically select all sub-compartments, select the Include sub-compartments check box.

Click Next.
The Backup Content page of the configuration wizard appears.

Add backup content, and then click Next.
The Summary page of the configuration wizard appears.
Summary
- Review the summary, and then click Finish.
