Complete the Salesforce Guided Setup

You can follow a guided setup for Salesforce backup. Use the setup to provision storage and to enter your Salesforce connection details.

Before You Begin

Procedure

  1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Service catalog.

  2. On the Salesforce tile, click Configure.

  3. Start the Salesforce trial or continue to the configuration tool:

    • If you have never configured a Salesforce app before, the Salesforce configuration tool appears.

      1. Click Start Trial.

        The Configure Salesforce message box appears. You must wait while the Commvault Cloud software activates the Commvault Cloud subscription and creates backup plans for backing up Salesforce.

      2. When this process is complete, click Close.

    • If you have configured a Salesforce app before, the Salesforce Trial message appears.

  4. Click Continue.

    The Region page of the Create Salesforce App wizard appears.

  5. From the Storage region list, select a region, and then click Next.

    The Application page of the Create Salesforce App wizard appears.

  6. In the Name field, enter a name for the Salesforce organization.

  7. In the Environment field, select Production or Sandbox.

  8. Click Sign in with Salesforce, and then log in to your Salesforce account.

  9. Click CREATE.

    The Summary page of the Create Salesforce App wizard appears.

  10. Review the summary to verify the information, and then click Close.
