Creating a Directive File

Updated

Content for On Demand backups is defined through a directive file. A directive file is a text file that defines the location of the data that you want to back up. The directive file contains the fully qualified paths from the root directory to the directories and devices that you want to back up.

Note

Do not use filters, wildcards, or regular expressions in the directive file.

Procedure

  • Create the directive file, and then place it on the CommServe computer.
