From V11 SP16, you can configure metrocluster partners with the Commvault software and the NetApp storage arrays.
If switchover and switchback occur, all IntelliSnap operations and the NetApp Replication with OCUM feature or the NetApp Open Replication feature work seamlessly.

When you use a Remote Snap MediaAgent, you must use the same MediaAgent for all the metrocluster partners. For more information, see Remote Snap MediaAgent for NetApp.

Starting ONTAP 9.6, during the switchover operation for a MetroCluster IP configuration, only the vServers switchover successfully and the management interface of the source cluster is not shutdown. Commvault recommends that you do one of the following:

Use vServers without tunneling to the cluster.

Ensure that the source cluster interfaces are not reachable from the clients.
